How to vet a permanent lighting installer

The hardware matters less than the crew mounting it. These questions surface the difference quickly.

1. Are you licensed and insured in this state, and can I see current certificates? 2. How long is the workmanship warranty, and what does it exclude? 3. Where will the power supply and controller be mounted? 4. How is the channel fastened, and how do you handle fascia penetrations? 5. Is app commissioning included, with scenes set before you leave? 6. Who handles a failed pixel in year three, and what is the response time? 7. Can I see a completed install in daylight, not just at night? 8. Do you subcontract the install or use your own crew? 9. What happens if my roof is replaced later? 10. Is the quote fixed, or does it change if runs are longer than estimated?
