Choosing a permanent lighting brand

There is no single best permanent lighting brand. The differences that matter are daytime appearance, channel quality, control software and who stands behind the warranty.

Daytime appearance Some systems recess the pixel deep inside the channel so the run reads as trim from the street. Others sit more proud and are visible up close. Look at an install in person, in daylight, before deciding.

Channel and sealing Ask about aluminum thickness, finish options, and how the channel handles thermal expansion in your climate. Coastal and freeze-thaw regions are the hard cases.

Control software Scene libraries, zone control, scheduling, voice assistant support and how easy it is to make a plain warm white the default all vary.

Who owns the warranty Dealer-installed brands route claims through the installing company. Consumer brands split responsibility between the manufacturer for hardware and your installer for workmanship. Get both in writing.
